Title | The town and Valley of Atlixco |
Description | This old Spanish city, lying at the edge of a fertile plain given over to wheat culture, is the Mecca of all California avocado growers. The trees upon which the avocado industry in California was founded has mainly come from the orchards which lie to the right and left of the picture. Picture from the article by Wilson Popenoe entitled “Atlixco” which appeared in the California Avocado Association Annual Report for the years 1919-1920. |
