Additional Information:

Introduced as budwood in 1911 from Atlixco, Mexico. Skin more leathery than granular. Surface glossy and purplish-red at maturity. Seed is tight in cavity. Tree is a very rapid grower, erect, with drooping branches. Fruit has good flavor. Season: Mid Dec.to March. Does not ship well. Tree does not set fruit regularly in California.
