Mayo - (Covacado). Originated in Covina, California. Introduced in 1947. Skin a light green with a tendency for brown blemishes. Season from early Oct. through Nov. Heavy and consistant producer. Flesh does not adhere to seed. Tree resistant to frost, production heavy and consistant. Historical early Mexican variety. Color is almost bronze. Tall, sagging tree.
